Prescott Going Yet?

#824030 - 10/05/09 10:12 AM

Usually that bite is 1-2 weeks old before you hear a peep here. Anyone know if things are starting to get interesting yet? Foget the bite. Anyone see lots of fishing boats down there?

Thanks James. Appreciate it. I'll probably get down there this week and figure it out. Countdown to boat storage so I need to take a stab at it.

There were a handful of folks fishing it last week, some fish were caught as well, but the bite should accelerate very soon with the temps & rain forecasted.

I was there last night. Talk about no-flow. Croix temp 60, Miss temp 59. I was suprised/disapointed to find no bait in the water. Never graphed a ball, no surfacing, no silvers, no birds, nothing. I hope that changes. Sheep are hitting strong though.

I didn't fish the weekend, but I'd say the fall bite has been off so far this season...

You mean the water temp won't stay 59 degrees all winter?

Had to have a look for myself with my father in law yesterday. Caught a few small fish and one nice 17 sauger. Water temp in the sippi was 50 and 58 in the croix. We were jigging, but most of the guys were crankin through the channel. Seemed like they were just catching a few small ones as well. Hope this helps!
