Friday Night.....

#825930 - 10/12/09 09:13 AM

So who else was on the water Friday night when that front blew in 3 hours early? I know Kooty and his crew were grinding it out. Me and Dave B were just getting a pattern figured out. Went from kinda nice out to sideways snow in a half hour! I watched that weather forcast all day. Didn’t expect that front to move through till late 2-3 am! Only a couple for the box, nothing big. Saturday AM the lake looked like Hawaii 5-0 again, so we packed ‘er up and headed back to town, tail firmly planted between legs….

Next time.

With a nice tail wind for pulling the boat no doubt!

Heading up with two members of the "TLO" this Thursday. Gonna work over the perch with cranks by day and hopefully some night eyes. The weather does not look good as of yet. It may be a Pool 4 event if it doesn't improve.

We were up Sat from 6pm-12am on the up wind side, Garrison area. Started pulling some weed lines but got sick of hookin' weeds in the dark and moved to same shallow rock. Pulled a few different areas. Marking fish, Not huge numbers but no takers for us. But is is kinda hard to mark in 10-16'.
Was a bit nippy, My body is not yet climatized. We were joking how if it was March we would probly be in T-shirts.

My boat had almost 2 inches of snow by 1am when we left...We ended up catching about 8 or 9 fish. Biggest was 23" and kept 3 for the box. Fished rocks and weed transition. best speed was 1.6-1.8. Firetiger or tennessee shad #12's 70-80 feet back....that was the pattern for friday night...
