Don't overlook the Magnificent Eel Pout this winter after dark. These beasts of the the darkwater will put quite a strain on your walleye gear, and darn nice tablefare. A little 7-up boil dipped in drawn butter will make you the hero of the ice!! Remember Pout spawn mid-winter, so get on the right structure, and LIGHTS OUT!! BTW State record is sitting around 19lbs. Last year we iced a 14lb plus fish. I would say there is a fair chance the new State records squirms around the bottoms of Rainy Right now!!
