Fish and Wildlife Info.

#832048 - 11/03/09 05:50 PM

Does anyone on the site here work for the Fish and Wildlife or DNR? I need to find some information on population of Walleye from dates in the past to the present. I am using this information for a persuasive speech in college. I am trying to persuade other students that we need to practice conservation in catch n release. Any help would be great.

Just call the DNR directly. I needed a bunch of whitetail harvest/hunting info (going back over 40 years) for my senior thesis about 7 or 8 years ago. They got me in touch with the guy who headed up the division that handled the info I needed...and he told me where I could find the info online, and also invited me to the DNR headquarters in St. Paul so I could get copies of some info they only had in hard copy. They are very accomodating to students!

I know on LakeLink you can find stocking information, not sure if that will help with your paper at all.
