Its good to have buddies that take care of you. I had a great summer fishing on the pond this year but I had the worst fall night runs I have had in 4 years. Just like many of the other posts the big girls were hard to come by. I completely blame this on the f*&^% up Sept. It just started that much later this year. That all changed last night though when I hopped in my buddy Jason's boat. I was driving up for the night to pick up my boat from being winterized to put it away. It worked out that Jason and one of his neighbors were able to break away and meet me for some fall trolling. We threw the lines out about 7:30 and Jason had a fat 26 incher to the boat before he even got his HJ12 all the way out. The action was steady for the rest of the night. We of course had lulls in the action but managed 15 eyes about 5 or 6 hours. All but a few dinks were between 20 - 29 inches. This night was a great one for me to end the season on as I was fortunate enough to land that sumo 29 incher that went back to fight another day. All fish came on HJ12's. The moon was high in the sky so ten shad and clown were working best. Speeds stayed pretty consistent in that 1.2 - 1.4 range. We found most all our fish on a tight corner of rock to weed transition. Thanks to an IDA buddy I didn't have to spend the night scouting to get right on em' THANKS and of course the favor will be paid back in full. Get up there before the ice because I am certain the bite will stay good from here on out. I am done for the year but I'll see you on the ice. Good luck everybody!

Couple more pics from the night. Even the smaller 21-23 inch fish are like footballs right now. Pot bellied pigs!

Chris,
Great job! We were right along side of you when you were releasing that 29" and could tell it was a tank! Let's make sure to share a boat sometime next summer trolling the basin, with the strong tulibee population with this cool summer next year trolling the basin should be very strong. Thanks for the report.

No kidding! Nobody will have a problem picking the 29" 'eye out of that lineup.
Tanker.
Hopefully some more guys are able to get out this coming weekend and take advantage of this shot of warm weather.

I pulled my dock and lift a couple of weeks ago but I do have about 3/4 of a tank of untreated gas in it yet. I'd really like to run that down some. I think a little Sea Foam and Stabil will get added and we'll get out one of these next 3 or 4 nights.
