I made it out for a few hours today, with limited success. I stayed away from the crowds at the dam crammed into the RESTRICTED AREA .If the Game Warden ever comes up to the dam at Clinton he is going to write a pile of tickets. I tried to fish a few wingdams , but the grass and flow is still making that tough. I finally found some fish in a backwater area. I ended up with 3 walleyes and 20 white bass. The bass were really nice size , and a blast to catch. The walleyes were 23.5 , 18 and 15 inches. I caught every fish on "one eyes" . I threw plastic, hair and blades with no luck. They were inhaling the one eye. It was a beautiful day to be on the river, all fish were released. I hope the river keeps dropping it still has 2 ft to go. I just hope it gets down before ice up, I want to have a few more good days before then.
