P5 Help

#834294 - 11/13/09 11:13 AM

I am heading down to Alma on Sunday and Monday to check on the deer stand, see some family, and do some walleye or crappie fishing. I have only fished this area a couple of times with limited success. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Boy, with all of the P4 talk around here I was surprised not to receive any feedback. With that being said I figured I would just apply what I've learned from a recent report from WHITETIP, Dean, and others on P4 and crossed my fingers. We ran 3 ways with floating sticks and verticle jigged with many differnt colors and the fish showed no real prefferance. They all worked! Finding fish with size was the hard part. We had over 50 sauger to the boat in a total of 6 hours fishing Sunday night and Monday morning. The fish were between the 10" and 15" mark with most averaging roughly 12". Great to spend time with family and enjoy the awsome weather(although it was mighty chilly Monday morn).

I am certainly not a pool 5 expert by any means, but current seams are current seams regardless of what pool.Down there more wingdamns and typically more flow, but the presentations are very similar.Glad to hear you had a good outing!
