Made it out last week to the canal again, and was surprised to see the water temp all the way up to 49. We fished a specific area all day and did ok. I counted 67 crappies, and my Dad counted around 30, so it was a good day with some nice crappies in the mix. All were released. At one point, my Dad's jig and mine were both in the same fish! But the real fish of the day was this real nice LMB that tackled Dad's jig. He went 18 1/2" and was real chunky. Pretty fun when you tie into one of those when you're used to crappie hits! Nice fish, Dad!

Finally registered after lurking for a while so this is my first post on this forum. I saw the ole crestliner heading down the road on thursday and almost gave ya a call. What a nice day! Doesn't sound like the weather's gonna get too bad so maybe we can get out again. Looks like I need to work on regaining my LMB king status. Nice fish.

Great to have you here, Jay! Nice avatar you got there too. Welcome!
You shoulda called! Hell, you shoulda come out and hopped in!
I'm hoping to get out again this next week as well. I'm curious to see how this weather affects things and see if I can still get a few fish in the boat after this big front. Hope you get a day off and get out there and get some fish...I'll check in with ya later!

Welcome aboard. We always need more ideas and to see what everyone else is catching.
