IAM NEW TO THIS SIGHT AND AM NOT SURE HOW THIS WORKS. DO YOU INVITE PEOPLE YOU DONT EVEN KNOW OUT FISHN W/ YOU OR WHAT. SOUNDS LIKE A COOL WAY TO MEET NEW PEOPLE AND SHARE DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES!PLEASE EXPLAIN KINDA CONFUSED.

If you are going out and have room for someone else ,just do a post as to where you are going and you have a open seat, if anyone is interested they will holler back,they either reply to the post or PM you or a phone# if supplied by the poster.
Your right it is a GREAT way to meet other anglers in your area or the area you want to fish.
PS: no need to use caps ,it is easier to read without them

Yes you got it. Swap seats with other members you fish with them or they fish with you.

Some guys just offer a seat, they are going out anyway sometimes their normal partner cant go or something so they offer up a seat. Neat way to meet new folks and learn different stuff. I take out 5-6 new guys a year for walleyes and muskies sometimes I'll tag along with them if they are new to my area to show them the ropes, sometimes my partners off fishing a different state so I give his seat to someone new to the sport or don't have a boat and try and get them their first muskie. Got an old friend his first in Aug after a bad trip earlier in the year. He ended up with a 42" for his first and lost 3 others, I think he's hooked now.

Welcome to IDO! Posting and replying to open seats has been a great way to meet some great guys. So far, I haven't run into anyone I haven't enjoyed fishing with from here. There's also quite the network going on behind the scenes with PMs. As you get to know people through here, its not uncommon to shoot a PM and inquire about tagging along, or offering up a trip. I've fished with a couple of really good guys by doing so. BTW - I run into a few last minute trips out to Pools 10 through 4 throughout the year. Whenever I have an open seat, it gets posted on here. So, if you don't mind the ride down shoot me you contact info and I'll add it to my call list.
