I woke up this morning wanting to do a little fall walleye fishing but it was a wee bit cold when I left.

I have been reading a lot of the articles on 3-way rigging and also trolling jigs. I started out this morning with a 3-way rig, but nothing was producing so I went to trolling a jig. I was using a 1/16th oz jig tipped with a minnow over some small humps. I felt a slight tap and set the hook. Nothing real heavy but reeled it in and had a crappie. I spent the rest of the morning fishing for crappie which was a blast. In the couple of hours I was out, I caught well over 80 crappie. Here is one of the doubles I had. I did take a few home for supper later this week. My son has been asking for some crunchy fish.

Last Christmas my wife bought me a Lowrance X67c and I loved it. I am just now getting used to all of the features it has. I haven't got a new transducer for it yet. I used my ice ducer and it works just fine on soft water.

It was a great fall morning to fish. Hopefully we will have the hard stuff around here in a couple of weeks. Hope you all enjoy.

Nice goin, Matt.
I was in that area a few weeks ago and we really found em in one place, but not the other. Think the depth in water really made a difference.
I was out Tues afternoon and got 55 myself, with some nice ones in the mix. Might make out again this week, at least I sure hope so. I'll take 54 degrees anytime!!

With this weather, you just have to be out. My loves crappie, she would drool all over the boat if I could find those.
