Does anybody fish anywhere OTHER than pool 4 anymore? Would love to see a report on fish between 13 and 18, especially if it's a good one!

I was at Bellvue today. Lots of small saugers and walleyes. Had a hard time getting any keepers. We must have caught over 50 fish. We kept only 2. Pulled three ways with cranks and Plain hook and minnow. We didn't fish any wing dams stayed up by the dam all day. Live bait out fished cranks by a long shot. Talked to the DNR at the ramp, He said not too many fish brought in over 15", but there were a few. Hope that helps.

Down here in the hinterlands of Pool 17 & 18 it's been tough. A few fish, some really large fish, but, we've had lots of current and high water to contend with. Levels are dropping along with the flow now though, so, things will get nothing but better.

I fish pool 7, N of LaCrosse, near Trempeleau and mostly Lake Onalaska as I don't yet have a motor. Had a nice northern on a couple weeks ago on a #6 perch floating rapalain less than 6 ft water.

Reverend we fished muscatine yesterday and had 9 nice ones between the two of us. It was about 50/50 walleye and sauger. But some real nice eaters. The morning bite was real good then it just almost stopped. We were using 3 ways w/raps which I think 95% of the boats out there were doing. Our fish came on the Iowa side in 15-18' of water. It's only going to get better there as long as the water keeps going down. It will be the best when the river there is at 6.0 - 6.5 so watch the stage. One nice thing down there compared to Bellevue is no grass !!! But if the river continues to drop into the 6's on pools 13-17 the tail waters will be good. Hope this helps you.

Thanks everybody! I squeaked out a 4-day weekend, then maybe a few days off next week. Plan to mix it up with ducks in the morning(if no freeze) and walleye in the afternoon. Good luck to everyone out there, on all pools!

good to hear your water down south is getting fishable! I am sure it will be going good once some cooler water temps happen!

Down here in the lower lands of 17 & 18 everything is just peachy too. John Swank and I got to be the only ones on 18 today. The fishes had nowhere to go but to our livewell.
