Croix 1/5/2010 report

SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and a buddy set up around shanty town this mornin and marked a ton of fish, but no takers. We threw everything at em, but they just wouldn't bite. I was joined by a few other friends and we set up by the high lines at about 1 for the evening bite. Same thing, tons of lookers, but very few bites. We ended up with 4 crappies between 9-11 and 1 16 inch walleye. Very fun place to fish, thanks for the help IDO! I got the chance to meet jjkrooked, he found my set up and offered advice, thanks again man, and it was great to meet you!

How much ice up there?

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day .

Around shanty town, there was a good 14 or better. The high lines had about 3 inches of crap and about 9 inches of good ice. People were driving everywhere and the road is nice.
