Ranger VS Electrical Hookup

Does anyone know if the electrical on a Ranger VS 19 is a circle hookup or a flat 3 male & female. I pick my boat up next week and this would be good info so I can have my truck ready... Thanks for the help.

My 09 is a flat 5 plug in..I had to buy an adapter

Most likely it is a flat five wire including the ground

Now I only have one more question how much is the surge breaks hookup and does anyone know of a good place to get this installed around Dubuque.

That question doesn't make sense. Surge brakes will work without anything hooked up.
What you need wired is the power to your reverse lights. This unlocks the brakes when you are backing up. If you have a round pin connector on your truck, you don't need any wiring. Just the the adapter from a 5 pin flat to your round. I got mine at Northern Tool, but your dealer probably has one too.

I was told you had to get something installed in your truck for the surge breaks. Something that controls the surge breaks my thoughts were a relay or something. I didn't know, that's why I asked, Thanks for the help.

My guess is that the person was confused with electric brakes, those need a strength controll box, not surge brakes. -Mark
