How high will the water get this spring?
All indications point to being higher than last year (last year was high) Can the locals who visit this board keep us updated on the water levels once everything starts to melt?
Thanks!

Has the ice started to pull away from the shoreline yet? Is the river channel open?

The river channel has been open for a week now. The ice is pulled away with some open water areas where there is river current. The boat ramp is Cold Spring is open, in fact I saw a boat heading up the river at 6PM tonight.

I got up there this past weekend, I was surpirsed how much ice was gone besides the river channel. I'm guessing this will be one of the earliest ice-outs for the SRCL ever? I still want to give it a week or so for the water levels to stabilize before I start to put my lifts in the water, it hasn't even rained yet this spring. The early ice-out + late fishing opener should protect the walleye's this spring..
