The Reel Weeds have an adjustable ice-free float that allows the Reel Weeds to be suspended in the water column or dropped to bottom of the lake. At the end of the day this float will be totally frozen in the ice hole, but with a little squeeze it pulls right out exposing a hole of open water just the right size for the Reel Weeds to be pulled up. It's a great system especially when you don't have to worry about maintaining your hole all day.
