Great to see how the footage turned out!
A few details about how we captured the footage, and I'll fill in the fishing details later.
We set up the camera using a Marcum camera "frisbee" in a hole about 3 feet away from the tip-up hole. We were in ~ 14 fow, on the outside edge of a scraggly bed of coontail. The weed seen here is in the foreground, with the bait a little bit behind it. We pointed the camera at the bait, and just let it roll!
We shot the footage with the camera light off. Even with over a foot of snow on top of the ice and ~ 13 feet of water above the camera, there was enough ambient light for the 825C to generate some really great pictures.

Very cool stuff Jason!! I can just imagine me and my buddies sitting around watching the camera and having a good time waiting for a flag.

A DVR isn't going to allow you to record an uncompressed video signal and that would greatly decrease the finished quality of the video we're sharing here. What we do is use a regular camcorder with an analog to DV conversion feature. This allows us to record uncompressed footage to minidv tape.
Look on ebay for older video cameras that have the analog to dv conversion feature. New camcorders typically DO NOT have this feature. I picked up 3 older cams for under $100 each and they work very well for this type of recording.

A few highlights:
The fish that hits early on (2:20) was an 18" bass. The photo of this fish is shown below.
The bass that first contacts the bait at 5:20 never tripped the flag until well after 8:00. It hit, mouthed, and rejected the bait numerous times over several minutes without ever tripping the flag. Crazy!
The pike that comes in at about 10:00 was eventually caught. Notice its large belly....it had four silver-dollar sized sunnies in its gut.
Unfortunately, all of the bigger pike we caught that weekend weren't caught on video. Those came primarily from deeper water on dead baits. The fish in the shallow, weedy areas were in the 20-30" class, and those are the ones featured in this footage.

Try taking a treble hook and move it around your hands....and then watch that bass suck it in and spit it our numerous times without a problem! Amazing!

Nice video Jason!
I guess that answers the question of how many times can a bass eat a treble hook and spit it back out without being caught!
Unbelievable!
