Great report Jason and crew !!!
I too take the kids and other out running 3-ways ....It's a great way to cover areas and also sometimes gives the fish a little something different to look at which can trigger strikes !!!
Question:can you post an actual set up for how you tie up two raps on the same line...I'll bet a lot of people would like to see that !!

We got some preatty decent video of the two rig set up. And I think James might have a graphic or two that would show how a three way is set up. I'll see what we can do.

Good video guys, looks like fun. Also helped me out, I've been running the 13 raps for 3 ways and have nothing but trouble. I'm going to try the smaller sizes, thanks  .

Dave, I tie a double rap rig by using a 2' leader between the first and second bait. I tie the leader to the first bait at the rear wire loop where the split ring attaches, and then attach the second bait using a cross lock snap at the far end of that short leader. The result is two very different actions for the two baits. On the day we filmed with Eric, we caught a number of fish on that front rap, which wobbles very subtly (if at all) compared to the second bait.

I run two different rods: St Croix wild rivers (10'6") on the outside, and St Croix tournament series "heavy bouncer" rods on the inside.
