Outstanding instructional video that included tactics, wind direction, and bait. I hope you gave Joel some static for wearing gloves during the video.

I don't feel bad at all after watchin his sausage link fingers snap off and scatter across the ice! It was cold out there at that point if you couldn't tell, but alot of fun. Thanks for the great time Jonny, I had a blast!

There will be no more of that! I got myself a pair of those Snosuit gloves after watching you play in the minnows and use your gloves as the skimmer all day I figure I needed a pair of those. It was brutal on the hands that day!

Sorry Wade, I went to a tiny little public school and some times I aint be redun so good.

The Bigtooth tackle rigs are a specifically designed for live and dead bait presentations in big fish applications. The rigs are made from high grade high test components that not only offer incredible hook up percentages but also present the bait in a "natural" horizontal position.

I know up here in the northern part of the state you see Bigtooth rigs in just about any bait store you walk into but to find one in your area look em up online. They are a newer company and the retailer list grows every day.

Yup, they're easy to find online through a search, here's the web address >>> http://www.bigtoothtackle.com I must admit though that I had never heard of them myself prior to fishing with Jonny P.

JP, correct me if I'm wrong but you landed that 46 on a Natural Rig, yes?

I see Joe's has them for sale here in the metro. I'll definitely be swinging in for a look at the selection before my next tipup trip.

Yes it was a custom made pink bladed Natural Rig, love color pink on Upper Red Lake.

Holy CR@@P Jonny P! I'm not sure I've heard of a bigger pike caught through the ice. Granted I don't get around much but 46 inches is the biggest I've heard of.

How's the walleye bite? I've never been to Red but this get me pumped up? Did I read that you guys filmed a bunch of walleye too? When will we see that footage?

I love the videos here on this site. They're as good as anything out there on the web or TV.

The walleye bite has been great and yes we filmed a entire show and then some worth of walleye before we set the sights on the pike, as for when the show will air James Holst has told me a couple times but I do not listen well. He will have to fill us in on that.

As for the qaulity of the IDO videos and TV I have to admit they are well put together. I have filmed with several outfits through the years and IDO had to be the easiset one to film with. The anglers or guests are not required to script, pose or perform any form of setting up a shot, they just let the guests/guides or whome ever just do what they do and the camera men do all the work of capturing it. Knowing it is all the real deal as it happens makes me apprecaite the shows even more, that and hearing just how many shows and trips are scrubbed due to poor fishing or bad weather made me realize how much work goes into a qaulity show before it even gets to the editing room.

I was the guy behind the camera on this one and I'd hang my hat on the fact that Jonny P and Joel iced at least 30 quality walleyes (likely more) during this shoot in addition to that mongo pike. This show will air next fall as a kickoff to early ice and, as always, the entire show will be streamed here online. So watch for it.
