If that doesn't get you fired up for the summer here in the MKE area nothing will.

Good video James.

See you out there Eric.

Awesome show, guys... You must have been down there right around the same time as us last year... Last July/August had AWESOME weather conditions as far as close to shore fishing went... Lots of steady west winds pushed all the warm water out and sucked the cold water in tight to the beach. There were LOTS of trollers finding great catches in 10-20 fow! Trolling out of the harbor we had surface water temps in the upper 40's... Perfect for bringing those kings in close to shore.. I know we did very well with the trolling bite... Nice to see you guys put the hammer down with the spinning gear!!!

Way to go guys!!!

I think this bite is just about as much fun as a guy can have in a boat catching fish! I'll keep looking for something to surpass it but for the time being... this bite holds the top spot.

Hey James, Great show!!! I DVR it every weekend because i'm usually out fishing....

I live near Milwaukee and get sometime to chase these guys in between bow hunts, would you share the stinger set-up that you guys were using? I've tried a few different things and was just wanting to compare. Thanks.
James HolstAdministrator
Sure. We took a #4 or #6 Gamakatsu and tied that to 8# fluoro. We then tied the other end to the hook on the jig so the knot rested right in the middle of the bend of the hook. I've included a quick and dirty drawing as an example.

Note: the plastic need to go on the jig BEFORE you tie in the stinger.

Thanks James. Looks easy enough, anything to increase hookup probability. Now if some west winds would clear that launch, i'm itching to whip some of them browns with my new Legend Xtreme!!!
