Nice job James. Have muskie fished with Tanner several times in the Hayward area. If anyone is looking for a great guide to fish with Tanner is the one. He knows how to fish and is a lot of fun to be in the boat with. The Flowage is an awesome body of water. A lot like the river you can catch all types of fish. If you want wilderness it's the place to go. Lots of undeveloped shoreline.

I'll definitely second that! Tanner is a great guy and has a passion for what he does that is seriously infectious.

The Flowage is a fun body of water to fish. Every spring for the last 14 years my brother and I fish it in the spring for Crappies. We were on a off bite for us and for fun we timed how long it took for us to catch 100 Crappies, it was 47 minutes, Crappies averaged 9-12 inches what a hoot. Hands would get chapped and bloodied from unhooking fish using strictly plastics.

The Crappies have made a great comeback since they have put in the 15 Crappie limit total panfish of 25.

Don't expect a warning shot at todays ammo prices.

Do to fiscal constraints the light at the end of the tunnel wil be temporarerly turned off.

Awesome show!! Us guys in Wisconsin would love to see more shows on lakes within a couple hours drive. The flowage happens to be my all time favorite place to fish so shows like this are a real treat. Personally I get bored with all the shows on the same Dakota and Minnesota lakes.

We'll keep trying to spread the shows around and bring more from WI in the coming season. I've been laying ground work with a couple guys in WI to do a bunch of filming. Now if only the fish and weather will cooperate so we can get them done.

Looks like a great trip with plenty of bass action. I was surprised you dinn't hook a norhtern in some of those spots. I've never fished the flowage but it is on my list.

We caught LOTS of 2# to 4# pike and were bit off by a few larger. We just didn't include them in the show. They're definitely there... they make quite a mess out of those expensive frogs.

Here's a really good website for the Hayward area >>> http://www.haywardlakes.com/

They have more festivals and events going through the year than you can shake a stick at if you're looking for something to add to the fishing.

Tanner must really know his stuff. I went to the chip last year for the first time and hired a guide, but we couldnt buy a fish all week. We spent the week fishin walleye but we ended up catching a few lg mouths and a muskie.. it was tough out there. That was in late june, so if you do plan on going up there.. it wouldnt be a bad idea to get tanner, i wish i woulda saw this before my trip!
